Finck - Van Valkenburg was the first cemetery NYHCPS took on as a project. We started our clean-up efforts in 2008. In 2009 our project came to a halt when one of the owners of the access road leading to the cemetery wouldn't allow us to use the road. Not all was lost during the year though as a neighbor was kind enough to let us drive through their field as long as it wasn't muddy. It took a year, but the matter was settled and in 2010, we continued our work on the cemetery using the access road.
